A scarf for all seasons and all skill levels woven with Mallo Cotton Slub. This monochromatic project accentuates the natural texture of the yarn. Designed by Emma Rhodes.
Rigid heddle loom | 16" weaving width
One scarf, 11.5" W x 64" L
I had reservations about doing this scarf because I was afraid of warp breakage on RHL. No problem!
Because of the nubs in Mallo, I was reticent to use on my German Kircher RHL because of the tiny holes. Using a borrowed Ashford RHL, it was so easy! I loved the result.
I recommend this yarn highly if using on a Kromski or Ashford RHL, but not Kircher. I still suspect those small holes would be a problem.
I purchased some cotton yarn to weave some baby blankets. I have sent them away already and did not take a photo of the finished projects. I must say I loved weaving with the cotton. The pattern was quick to weave up and the yarn gave me no trouble. Thank you. Also I must mention I love that you share free patterns online. My next project I would like to weave the Droppdrall bath towels.
Ordered a loom stand which was back ordered and not expected until mid-Jan or Feb. I got my order yesterday 12/15!! Christine checked on me to be sure all is well before the stand came in. Customer service even when you don’t expect it.... now that’s superb!
