Echo Baby Blanket

I wanted something simple and fun for my niece's new baby. This absolutely fit the bill. It went quickly but had enough going on to keep my interest and to produce a pretty piece. I'd do it again. I kind of wished I'd warped for two! (Sorry for the poor quality of the photograph. It turned out better than this suggests.)

I have woven this blanket three times now. It is a lovely, lightweight blanket perfect for a newborn in the small size. If I do it again I will probably weave the larger blanket. The small is good for a newborn, but will quickly become a stroller or car seat size blanket before long. I love this particular color combination for a boy (blue and yellowish). It is a fast and easy weave for such a beautiful outcome.

My beautiful loom has been idle for an embarrassingly long time. I’m now retired. My daughter is going to have our first grandchild and I got a bug to weave a gift from grandma. A kit. Just the thing! And there it was in just the right colors. Thank you. It’s working out beautifully. Instructions are right on and the quality is great. This was an online order.
