8 Shafts for a jack loom only

Fair warning to anyone with a counter-marche loom. I bought this pattern and the fiber, warped my loom and sat down to weave only to realize that double-pedaling is required for the 8-shaft version. You can't double-pedal on a counter-marche loom. I figured out the drawdown and it required 14 different configurations, but fortunately I had 14 treadles (on my 12-shaft loom) and was able to weave these beautiful towels after all. Phew!!

Deflected doubleweave towels

In the picture, there are about 20 weft stripes, but the pattern says to weave 23 and 24 stripes. Makes the sections not to square. Please check this out. The duet made beautiful but long towels.
